Time Zones
03:14
|
|||
I walk on by these broken headstones, pull myself beyond time zones. In my sleep I let it out. I don’t know what I’m on about.
Give me mercy when I’m all alone, drift off into some unknown. Lost my way some time ago, I’m coming through, but then who knows?
Unroll the yarn until the end makes its way to you, and I’ll pull you back to my room. For just one night, I’ll feel you in my arms. I’ll make believe until it just comes true.
I hear you call for me alone. It hurts now, but you aren’t on your own. I hold the rock right in my hand, and think of you right where I stand.
Unroll the yarn until the end makes its way to you, and I’ll pull you back to my room. For just one night, I’ll feel you in my arms. I’ll make believe until it just comes true.

Consequences

I think I understand now
I think I understand now
You've been breathing the same air
Drinking the same water
But you've been loving someone else
Now all I can see is a world that's falling apart at your fingertips
Swirling, unfurling away at a brush of your lips
Torn to strips
Just rain, rain, the glorious rain
Coming on down to wash us all away
I think I got the gist now
I think I got the gist now
You've been saying the same words
Drawing the same pictures
But you've been loving someone else
I think I've seen the light now
I think I've seen the light now
You've been smiling the same smiles
Kissing the same kisses
But you’ve been loving someone else
Now all I can see is a world that's falling apart at your fingertips
Swirling, unfurling away at a brush of your lips
A lovers' eclipse
Just rain, rain, the glorious rain
Coming on down to wash us all away
This is no hot punch parade
Why are you still passing by?
This is not some masquerade
So why are you still in disguise?
Now all I can see is a world that's falling apart at your fingertips
Swirling, unfurling away at a brush of your lips
A lovers' eclipse
Just rain, rain, the glorious rain
Coming on down to wash us all away

Statuesque
04:04
|
|||
I quake as I walk by the door and pretend I feel alive.
I lose myself in the fear and palpitation that breaks me down when you’ve gone to sleep.
When you are gone, my body works itself into a mess of broken pieces of the limbs I had
They carry me through these bitter days that last far more than their time.
Sometimes I lose track of my self-conscious and bitter way of feeling when you’re here.
The simplest of your many tender motions gives me another way to disappear.
I lose myself as I go through the motions. I fall asleep in the air.
The shaking ground is now firmer around me. The statues will come alive again.
Let’s turn our backs on all the angry stares of tired people
and fall asleep under the clear blue light.
The hands inspired by the craftsmanship of shattered timelines
will find their way, until the water flows into the same blue line.
Sometimes I lose track of my self-conscious and bitter way of feeling when you’re here.
The simplest of your many tender motions gives me another way to disappear.
Sometimes I lose track of my self-conscious and bitter way of feeling when you’re here.
The simplest of your many tender motions gives me another way to disappear.

Marionettes
03:51
|
|||
I spend my mornings convincing myself I’m sick
I cough and gag but even I know it’s a stupid trick
Uncreative excuses again
Why do I always have to lie to my friends?
See you in my dreams again
Please snap these strings
I’m not your fucking marionette, doll
Give it to me straight
No wait, that’s what I love about you
See you in my dreams again
Please snap these strings
I’m not your fucking marionette, doll
Give it to me straight
Do you love me? No wait, leave up the wall
And when I see your eyes
I see him hiding behind your tears, your lies
So don’t be afraid
Take me in before the rain arrives

The Web
03:37
|
|||
A web of clouds conceals the path of our release.
The spider bites. What’s a name that’s fit for you and me?
When I walked right there in your arms,
you whispered to me,
“Take a picture, remember this.
And I’ll be there, you’ll see. You’ll see me again.”
We’re falling down. The grass is wet on the backs of our knees.
The moon is full. I see you now, please don’t ever move.
When I walked right there in your arms,
you whispered to me,
“Take a picture, remember this.
And I’ll be there, you’ll see. You’ll see me again.”

Laura, won't you let me take you out and go dancing?
Watch the city bloom beneath a painted moon
We can go wherever you fancy
Laura, won't you let me take you out to the mountain? Atop some rocky pile, we can see for miles
All the way to where sound ends, Laura
Laura, won't you let me take you out to the pictures?
See a life pristine up on the golden screen
Tell me that's not only in fiction
Cause Laura, there are pretty girls on each street corner
But they're not like you, you got the whole city blue
Cause we all know we can't have you, Laura
Laura, won't you let me take you out and go dancing?
Watch the city bloom beneath a painted moon
We can go wherever you fancy, Laura

The Beast (Within Us)
03:54
|
|||
You read me your favorite
Poems by the candles
The wax traveling from
Your lips onto mine
In order they flow
Like rivers from the jagged
Peaks cold as ice
I flinch as they run over my skin
And into the valley of the lake
The sky opened up and cried from hate
As the craters filled
With memories wet and chilled
The low morning fog returns your fate
We float down the river
Eyes fixed toward the
Sky, blue with weight
Whirlpools spin us
Round and full is the
Moon yet again
Tugging forth lightly
The beast within us both
And into the valley of the lake
The sky opened up and cried from hate
As the craters filled
With memories wet and chilled
The low morning fog returns your fate
Sometimes we lie to ourselves
Then we cry
But nigh is the time for
Our heaviest sigh
And into the valley of the lake
The sky opened up and cried from hate
As the craters filled
With memories wet and chilled
The low morning fog returns your fate As the markings heal
Your pain will be all too real
But I’ll hold you close to spite the hate

Thirteen Speed
03:58

Take the turn
too quick.
Take the turn
too quick.
6pm
and I’m exhausted as hell.
30 seconds pass by
goin’ down that hill.
I said I’m ridin’ with you.
Goin’ down that hill
lyin’ all on white
red comes burstin’ forth
across yer pale face.
Who made you crash?
Made you cry,
made you crack,
made you crash,
made you cry.
Too quick,
too quick.
Racin’ head first
ahead first.
Too quick,
too quick.
Bars reversed.
Who made you crash?
Made you cry,
made you crack,
made you crash,
made you cry.
Who made you crash?
Made you cry,
made you crack,
made you crash,
made you cry.
